There's a kind of magical aura to this music, like a ritual performing in front of us without fully telling us what's going on. And you can't stop listening to it and being fascinated.

Phil is dancing, 80's style and it's great.

Ah... Philip Glass is such a troublesome composer to me, because he is so able to mix bad and good at the same time.... but here is the very very very good !

microtonality allows us to sing with nobility.

Because a noble mind and a noble heart prefer subtility even in violence.

Eight Lines

Clearly one of my favorite Steve Reich's work, especially the superb mix of canonical techniques and funky rythms. Plus, modal harmony doesn't hurt.
