Clearly one of my favorite Steve Reich's work, especially the superb mix of canonical techniques and funky rythms. Plus, modal harmony doesn't hurt.

I think there is a certain kind of soundwriting which express a feeling of "fantasticness" better than others. Here is one example of that. Thrills, delicate sound of metallic percussions and harmonics. The lyric tone of the bassoon. Mix them carefully and enjoy !
